Our son attends the Phoenix GK academy who were recommended by a friend. Being GK is a unique position, and we found that Grassroots training was respectfully lacking the experience and dedicated training he needed.
What struck and inspired us was the code of conduct for parents and players; this set the organisation aside and has been so evident in sessions.
The balance of development and fun is managed so well, and the most important feedback has been from our son who says it’s the best training session.
He transitions his learning from GK academy to Saturday league games so well and we can see the tools and techniques playing out each week. The coaches are the best, attentive to individual needs and yet creates a team and enjoyable session for all to.
